We are North Carolina natives with a love and appreciation of the natural beauty that we live with here every day in Western North Carolina. With combined experience of over 50 years of plant sciences (botanical and horticultural) and years of building and residential community development experience, we saw a need for a hands-on approach company to help WNC property owners improve and enhance the natural beauty their unique mountain properties. From this concept we have grown to be a full-service land and management company filling the simple to unique custom needs of our clients. Servicing mainly Buncombe and Madison Counties. Smoky Mountain Land Management was formed in 2005 to deliver land clearing, grading, boulder walls, landscape, road construction, trail construction, and site prep services.
Our equipment is up to date and purposely selected in sizes to be efficient yet unobtrusive on small building sites and work areas. Our operators are seasoned and understand the complexity and sometimes the challenges that can exist within the mountain landscape. SMLM has the best of native North Carolina building stone and boulders originating in Madison County from the back side of Doggett Mountain. We offer complete installation services from small to engineered walls, borders, walkways, fire pits and stairways. Specimen landscape boulders are available, and all sizes of stone are available to be delivered on pallets or in bulk.
